It is still rarely discussed. I am very fortunate to have a still living 87 year old mother, with whom I have shared her deepest desires and feeling around her death. We have discussed and now made all her final arrangements BEFORE she leaves and with most of her cognitive abilities still intact.<br /><br />It is no fun to have to make these decisions alone (or with conflictin family memebers), during a time of shock, grief, loss and/or whatever emotional upheaval springs up for us at that time.<br /><br />I urge that we all have these monumental conversations with loved ones now, while they are still with us.
