"Let go of what I can't control"
Resigned from Facebook. It felt quite good. Now, this may seem silly when reading something so important, but I was logging in a couple of times a day to read things I didn't agree with religiously, spiritually, or politically. I wasn't going to change anyone' belief with what I posted. It was a venue that often brought out the worst in people including myself. Was Facebook to blame? No, it was the anonymity of the site which allowed people to feel free to say things they would never say in a face to face setting. I couldn't control it, so I let it go. Life feels much better.

  3. Well, that makes sense to me, Carolyn. I do stay in touch with a lot of people through Facebook that I don't think I'd be able to, really, through other means. I try to stay away from the conflict that shows up there sometimes. (I don't always succeed but I'm doing a lot better with that!) But I certainly support anyone's decision to walk away from it. It sounds right for you!
