I particularly like this because it points to the very practical nature of training the mind. Meditative practice is not all pie-in-the-sky, airy-fairy, "ethereal" stuff. It is very down to earth, helpful material that will truly make our lives better.As irrigators lead water where they want, as archers make their arrows straight, as carpenters carve wood, the wise shape their minds.
